During his Pro Day in March, Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson turned heads with a throw that hit the roof of the building he was working out in.
On Wednesday, football fans saw another jaw-dropping throw from Richardson.
In a video shared by Ted Nguyen of The Athletic, Richardson is seen holding a football with his feet planted. Then, while standing in a non-throwing motion, completely facing his target with his feet still planted, Richardson casually uncorked a throw that Nguyen said sailed 65 yards.
There are more examples of purposeful drills in the article but here’s Richardson just showing off with a 65 yard throw with his feet planted pic.twitter.com/a7FHybTkUq

The elite trio of arm strength in the NFL — IMO Allen, Mahomes, and Herbert — will become a quartet in 2023 with Richardson the newest member
Those four will be in a class by themselves https://t.co/inj7eAhO8A

Richardson’s 2022 season with the Gators shows that he’s still got a lot of room to improve. He completed only 53.8% of his passes while throwing 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions. But Richardson also rushed for 654 yards and nine touchdowns. The modern NFL certainly favors quarterbacks who can move and throw the ball well down the field.
The team that drafts Richardson will be bringing in a work-in-progress. But a casual 65-yard flip of a ball is not something that most NFL quarterbacks can do. Richardson’s arm strength will serve him well during the draft and likely during his NFL career, as well.
