The Arizona Cardinals are facing shocking and significant allegations. In particular, owner Michael Bidwill is the subject of a lawsuit from a former high-ranking executive of the Cardinals.
Tisha Thompson of ESPN reported the scathing details on Monday. “Terry McDonough, the former VP of player development for the Arizona Cardinals, is accusing the team & owner Michael Bidwill of defamation and invasion of privacy following comments the team posted on its website and distributed to the media last month,” Thompson wrote.

This is the second lawsuit McDonough has filed against the team recently. In April, the former Cardinal executive filed a suit against Bidwill alleging “gross misconduct.” An ESPN report from Adam Schefter stated that McDonough accused the organization of cheating, discrimination, and harassment.
Thompson wrote that McDonough “is accusing the team and its owner, Michael Bidwill, of defamation and invasion of privacy after comments the team posted on its website and distributed to the media last month.”
According to the complaint filed by McDonough, “The Cardinals and Bidwill ‘publicly disclosed private facts about McDonough’ and made ‘false and defamatory statements about McDonough’ that the team knew ‘to be false’ as part of an ‘effort to intimidate and harass him and his family members.'”
ESPN said the Cardinals said they were aware of the complaint but could not comment further. According to the complaint, the team described the former employee as “‘exhibiting a volatile demeanor toward colleagues,’ issuing ‘threats of violence toward a colleague’ and ‘shouting and physically menacing Mr. Bidwill in full view of many colleagues.'”
The Cardinals told ESPN that they were aware of the statement, but could not comment further.
