The Cardinals pretty much just kicked the Browns’ ass today for nearly the entire first half, holding a 23-7 lead with just seconds remaining in the second quarter.

Unfortunately for Arizona, Cleveland managed to pull off one of the more welcome random football moments: the first half Hail Mary.

Here’s Baker Mayfield buying time before the heave that Donovan Peoples-Jones pulled down:

That’s the second first half Hail Mary in as many days; we got one yesterday during the Florida-LSU game too.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, that was one of the few highlights, and then also Mayfield landed awkwardly in the third quarter.

If the Browns are going to complete a comeback in Cleveland today, they’re probably going to need Mayfield healthy and completing bombs.
