Barry Sanders doesn’t agree with some of the latest words Tom Brady said.
Brady said today’s NFL has a lot of mediocrity, but Sanders said that wasn’t true during an interview on RG3 and The Ones with Robert Griffin III.
“Well, maybe he’s talking about the teams that he played for,” Sanders said. “The team that I played for, no. It’s anything but mediocre. For us as Lions fans, maybe I just have blinders on, because of how we’re leading the division.
“I still see a great product. Still see great teams. Very popular game. I would listen to anything he has to say, but hey, look, I think this is like the greatest product, the greatest things we’ve ever seen as Lions fans. So I’m gonna enjoy this for a while.”

Hall of Fame Sanders spent 10 illustrious seasons in the NFL from 1989-’98 where he earned 10 Pro Bowl and six All-Pro selections among other accolades at the running back position.
Brady’s full quote from Monday in an interview with Stephen A. Smith:
“I think there’s a lot of mediocrity in today’s NFL. I don’t see the excellence that I saw in the past,” Brady said. “I think the coaching isn’t as good as it was, the development of young players isn’t as good as it was. The rules have allowed a lot of bad habits to get into the actual performance of the game,” he continued.
