Justin Fields

Justin Fields’ tough season got even tougher Sunday.

The Chicago Bears quarterback, who has been ripped by fans for his poor play this year, had another bad game in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. And the game featured a bizarre turn of events, after Fields took a blow to the head on a running play early in the fourth quarter.

The third-year quarterback got to his feet unsteadily and headed back to the huddle, before wide receiver D.J. Moore grabbed his teammate and walked him toward the sideline.

Fields went to the injury tent for a concussion evaluation, and given the NFL’s emphasis on diagnosing possible head injuries in the wake of the Tua Tagovailoa debacle last season, it appeared he was done for the day.

Yet he returned to the game a few minutes later, with the Bears losing in a blowout to the Chiefs.

Many NFL fans saluted Moore for quickly realizing Fields was not right, while others ripped the Bears for putting the young QB back out on the field.
