Ben Roethlisberger discusses Tom Brady Photo: Channel Seven

It was a rough day on Sunday for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and star quarterback Tom Brady, who struggled mightily on offense resulting in a 20-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was in attendance for the game in Pittsburgh and gave a brutally honest assessment of Brady’s performance on Monday.

“Tom is the greatest. The Super Bowl rings show it,” Roethlisberger said on his “Footbahlin’ with Ben” podcast. “It didn’t look like he wanted to be out there. Maybe it was the pressure. He was getting hit. Whatever was going on, there is no way he is enjoying this. No way.

“When a defense gets after you, sometimes your anger and your disgust for things happen because the team is affecting it. Not just because it’s you. It just looked like a different Tom,” Roethlisberger added.

Brady has been showing much more frustration as of late on the field, with his latest tirade coming toward his offensive line following their poor play on Sunday.

That may have to do with some of the personal troubles that have been heavily publicized about Tom Brady, including his relationship issues with his wife Gisele Bündchen.

Pittsburgh was sitting at a 1-4 record entering Sunday’s game, so it is certainly concerning to see Tampa Bay fail to thrive in this matchup.

Despite these struggles in Tampa Bay, they currently sit atop the NFC South with a 3-3 record and will look to right the ship next week against the Carolina Panthers.

That being said, Brady’s performance was worrying and Tampa Bay will need him to be significantly better in that game if they want to come away with a better result.
