The Atlanta Falcons chose former Texas Longhorns star running back Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and it sounds like Robinson is already happy with the role his new team is giving him this season.

Following his first rookie minicamp on Friday, Bijan Robinson had praise for his new head coach Arthur Smith for his willingness to utilize his full skillset in the offense.

“He uses me everywhere, from receiver to running back,” Robinson said of Smith after the Falcons opened rookie minicamp Friday, according to ESPN. “He lets me do my abilities and skill set the right way, whether it’s catching the ball, running routes, obviously running the football, blocking and doing it all.”

Robinson said that Smith told him he will coach him hard, and Robinson was happy to hear that from his new coach.

“I’m going to expect nothing less, because he has a plan for me with his coaching style and making sure that I’m doing the right thing on the field,” Robinson said, “and always pushing myself to new limits, new heights, you know, I got to match that.”

It sounds like things are going well to start. It will be interesting to see how this relationship translates to the on-field production.
