It’s no secret that this hasn’t exactly been the sort of season that the New England Patriots expected as the team is now just 3-10, marking the earliest the team has been eliminated from playoff contention since 2000. It’s led to some speculation that the team might choose to fire head coach Bill Belichick. And according to one report, that decision has actually already been made.

This week, Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston reported that already made a decision to part ways with Bill Belichick after the team’s Week 10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt, Germany.

“When they came out of Germany, conversations I had that week made it very clear that a decision was made,” Curran said according to Boston.com. “They were going to play out the string, and at the end of the year, there would be a parting of the ways for a variety of reasons.”

This is obviously pretty shocking news that the team could be moving toward firing a six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

Obviously, the decision isn’t final until it’s announced, but it’s not exactly looking good for Bill Belichick.
