This week, Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton gave an extremely candid interview where he did not hold back his thoughts on a few things, including his thoughts on former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett as well as the New York Jets. And it seems he’s upset one player who happened to play for last year’s Broncos team and this year’s Jets team.

In a very candid interview with USA Today, Sean Payton had a pretty brutal message for both Nathaniel Hackett and the New York Jets, claiming that Hackett performed “one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL” and blasting the Jets for “trying to win the offseason” with their public relations.

And those comments seem to have angered veteran offensive lineman Billy Turner who spent last season with the Broncos under Hackett before joining the New York Jets this offseason. In a post on his Instagram stories on Thursday, Turner absolutely blasted Payton for his words.

“Seems like someone started training camp and is trying to soften the blow after realizing what he’s in for this season. [Freaking] bum,” Turner wrote, adding the hashtags “childish” and “BountyGate,” referencing the scandal that got Payton suspended with the New Orleans Saints.

With Hackett now with the Jets too, it looks like we could have ourselves a new rivalry in the NFL.
