The Denver Broncos are coming off a disappointing 7-10 season in 2021, which saw the team lose each of their last four games of the season to miss out on the playoffs.

Last season saw the team struggling to move the ball on offense. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was at the forefront of those struggles, throwing for only 3,052 yards in 14 games.

Bridgewater is now a free agent, and it seems like he will be moving on from Denver in the offseason, which leaves a number of different options available for the team going forward.

The Broncos have been atop the potential landing spots if star quarterback Aaron Rodgers decides he wants out of Green Bay.

Regardless of Rodgers’ impending decision, it appears clear that Denver will look to bring someone in this offseason to at least compete for the starting QB job alongside third-year quarterback Drew Lock.

Broncos’ general manager George Paton (seen above) addressed the media on Tuesday at the NFL scouting combine, where he did not mince words about the team’s quarterback situation.

“We don’t care if it’s free agency. We don’t care if it’s the draft. We don’t care if it’s a trade. We’re going to exhaust all options to try and get the best guy for the Broncos.”

“It’s the most important position in sports, so we’re always looking. We know we need better play out of the  quarterback position, so we’re going to be aggressive.”

It seems very clear that the Broncos will be bringing in someone at the quarterback position this offseason. Whether it is through a trade, free agency, or the NFL draft has remained to be seen.

The Broncos do have 11 picks in this upcoming draft, including five picks in the first three rounds, so it is certainly possible that they could make a big splashy move with a trade for a veteran like Rodgers or Russell Wilson if they wanted to.
