Jerry Jeudy says he’s used to the trade rumors swirling around him.
The Denver Broncos wide receiver said whatever happens, he’s got to stay focused.
After a surprising 1-5 start, the Broncos under new head coach Sean Payton look as hapless as the bumbling 5-12 team from 2022. A fire sale is already underway as the Broncos start cleaning house, and Jeudy is among the most likely candidates headed elsewhere by the NFL’s Oct. 31 trade deadline.
He said the trade rumors have followed him “for about two years.”
“I block all that out, man,” Jeudy told reporters Thursday. “I know how my coaches feel about me. I know how my teammates feel about me. All these people that got their opinions are outsiders that have never been in the locker room, never seen me practice, never seen how this **** really operates, so everybody that’s outside, I just ignore them, because they don’t know what really be going on for real.”

Many Broncos fans have expressed their disappointment in the former Alabama star, the No. 15 overall pick in 2020. He’s never had a 1,000-yard season, and has only 20 catches in five games this year. Could Jeudy thrive somewhere else, with a different quarterback and system? He’s widely expected to move on in the next few days. Jeudy says that’s not going to change his approach.
“It don’t affect me at all, because at the end of the day, I’m still going to be the player that I am,” Jeudy said. “I know what I can do, and I know what I’m capable of. Trade me or don’t trade me. It don’t matter, because at the end of the day, I’m still going to be me.”
