Bryce Young was selected as the No. 2 overall pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2023 NFL Draft and started the first two games of the season for the team, but it’s looking like there’s a chance he won’t be able to play in the team’s Week 3 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.

According to a report from Carolina Panthers beat writer Joe Person of The Athletic, Bryce Young did not practice again on Thursday after already missing practices throughout the rest of the week.

Panthers QB Bryce Young will not practice again today, per a team spokesperson,” Person said in a post on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

“Young is dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained at some point against the Saints, though Frank Reich isn’t sure exactly when,” Person said in a follow-up post.

This is obviously brutal news for the rookie quarterback as he tries to develop a rhythm with his new team in just his first season in the league, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

We’ll have to see whether or not he’ll be able to play on Sunday, but it’s looking more and more likely that he could be out.
