17. Panthers (26): As prodigal son Cam Newton prepares to reclaim QB1 status in Carolina, you have to wonder if injured Sam Darnold — he’s guaranteed nearly $19 million in 2022 — is already entering the backup phase of a career that doesn’t yet span four seasons. Syndication Usa Today

Social media is abuzz with videos of Cam Newton’s brutal takedown of a troll messing with him at practice.

The video shows the young man trolling Newton while at practice and Newton taking him down with the same capacity as he used to play football, with ease.

Fan: “How many rings have you got? None. We got the same amount. ”

Newton: “None, but we don’t got the same bank account!”

Then Newton makes a lewd gesture that can be seen on the video while others laugh at him.

The fan could be heard saying, “You too famous to be acting like that.”

Newton could be heard saying, ” No, no, no, don’t play the victim now.”

Newton hasn’t played in the NFL in three years since he was replaced as the starter by then-rookie Mac Jones in New England.

He has said recently he’d be willing to come back and play as a backup, but so far, no one has taken him up on the offer.

Football fans across social media added their two cents about Newton’s takedown of this fan, and a lot thought he took it too far.

Some fans thought Newton was just in his takedown of the teenager.

But most think Newton needs to grow up and not let teenage fans get to him.
