Cam Newton isn’t ready to hang up his cleats just yet.
He hasn’t ruled out an NFL return, but he has just one destination on his mind.
“Me having a family now, it’s always been about family, and I don’t see myself leaving Atlanta,” Newton said during a recent appearance on Good Morning Football, via Fox.
“So if it’s not Atlanta, I don’t wanna do it.”
Newton was born in College Park, Ga.
Brandon Marshall, who also was on the segment, and hosts the I am Iconic podcast with Newton, said he might not be able to go back to the NFL, but Newton sure can.

Newton couldn’t give the top three teams he would consider going back to. Just one.
Marshall then joked there could be a possible reunion between Bill Belichick and Newton. However, recent reports say the momentum between Belichick and the Falcons has soured.
Anytime there’s a significant injury for a signal caller in the league, Newton’s name is brought up. He admitted that if a team came calling, it wouldn’t be as easy to say yes. Perhaps the family reason is why. The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback hasn’t played in the league since 2021.
For now, he’s on tour with Marshall doing their podcast.
