While all concern throughout the NFL is on the health of Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin after the terrifying incident that left him in need of CPR on the field on Monday night, the league is now put in quite a difficult position after initially postponing the pivotal Monday night game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals and ultimately deciding the game will not continue this week.
It’s a massive game between two legitimate Super Bowl contenders as they compete for the top seed in the AFC and a crucial first-round bye in the playoffs, but former NFL star quarterback Carson Palmer, who spent most of his career, with the Bengals, has a shocking prediction for this game, revealing that he does not believe the NFL will continue the game.
“I don’t think you can replay this game,” Carson Palmer said in an interview with Fox News. “They gotta finish the Week 18 games this week then the playoffs start the following week. If they were gonna replay this game on Thursday, we’d hear about it I think at this point. Maybe you call it a wash and give each team a tie and move on.”
Obviously, this would have massive playoff ramifications, essentially giving the Kansas City Chiefs the top seed in the AFC with a win this week. We will have to see what the league ultimately decides to do.
