So far this season, Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has taken the league by storm. He’s the clear favorite to win the league’s offensive rookie of the year award and has already set a few rookie records so far this season. But there’s a chance he breaks an impressive record held by future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

As Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk points out, C.J. Stroud has a chance to break a record set by Aaron Rodgers for the lowest interception percentage in a single season.

“Stroud has thrown one interception on 279 pass attempts this season, or an interception on 0.36 percent of his passes this season. The NFL record for lowest interception percentage in a season was set by Aaron Rodgers in 2018, when he threw two interceptions on 597 passes, or 0.34 percent,” Smith wrote for Pro Football Talk on Tuesday.

Even if Stroud does not break the all-time NFL record set by Rodgers, he is comfortably on pace to break the rookie record that was set back in 2016.

“Stroud is also on pace to break the rookie record for lowest interception percentage. That record is currently held by Dak Prescott, who threw four interceptions on 459 passes as a rookie in 2016, an interception percentage of 0.87 percent,” Smith wrote.

We’ll have to see if Stroud can keep up this streak of mistake-free football.
