This week, people across the world exchanged gifts with each other in celebration of Christmas. But in a pretty surprising turn of events, it sounds like former NFL superstar Colin Kaepernick is not one of those people.
Earlier this week, Colin Kaepernick appeared on the podcast of his girlfriend Nessa. During the podcast, the group was discussing buying gifts for their partners with Christmas fast approaching. Nessa’s co-host Katrina asked Kaepernick what he was planning to give Nessa for Christmas. And he had a pretty surprising and blunt response.
“Colin, I have a question. What are you giving Nessa for Christmas?” Katrina asked.
“We don’t celebrate Christmas,” Kaepernick immediately replied from the phone.
“So let’s just can the whole episode then,” Katrina joked.

In fact, Nessa explained that not only do they not celebrate Christmas, but they actually don’t give any gifts to each other. Instead, they simply “enjoy really great experiences with each other.”
“I’ll tell you what, we don’t give each other gifts. I think for Colin and I we just enjoy really great experiences with each other year round,” Nessa said.
It’s certainly a surprising revelation about Kaepernick.
