Colin Kaepernick and Nike have worked together a lot over the years, partnering for social justice and marketing campaigns. And it looks like the NFL icon and the legendary apparel company are collaborating again.

This week, Nike and Colin Kaepernick announced a new clothing and apparel collection in collaboration with London-based artist Joy Yamusangie that celebrates the legacy of the former NFL star quarterback.

The tagline for the collection is “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

“Colin Kaepernick is a man of the people. Over the years, he’s proved his devotion to social change through sports, education, and equality. This product capsule serves as a reminder and an invitation to push toward an equitable future,” Nike officials said. “The imagery of the photoshoot represents the visual symbolism chosen by artist Joy Yamusangie. Each illustration carries its own significance that reflects Kaepernick’s journey as an athlete, philanthropist, and activist. Colin surrounds himself with elements of youthfulness, revolution, hope, community, and ambition.”

It’s a pretty big partnership between the iconic quarterback and the sportswear giant, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

The t-shirts for the selection sold for $50 and a hoodie version cost $80 – but all sold out quickly.
