Earlier this month, former San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Colin Kaepernick posted a video on social media of a recent workout with a number of NFL stars where he showed off his arm and athleticism. But one former NFL player isn’t buying it.

During a recent podcast appearance, former NFL linebacker Terence Garvin had a pretty brutal message for Colin Kaepernick, making it clear that he thinks it’s time for the former quarterback to give up his attempts to return to the league.

“The senior prom was like six years ago, bro,” former NFL linebacker Terence Garvin said on the podcast. “It’s over, bro. It’s over, bro. You feel me? You still trying to be the prom queen! It’s a wrap!”

Even though Garvin made it brutally clear that he thinks Kaepernick should give up his continued attempts to make a comeback to the NFL, he was not exactly surprised to see the recent video from Kaepernick pop up on social media as NFL training camp nears.

“He pops up this time of year every year,” Garvin said. “Like, we know you can throw the ball.”

Garvin went on to suggest that the various NFL players who appeared in the video catching passes from Kaepernick were told to be there from Nike, as the workout was held at Nike headquarters.

“Them dudes was mandated by Nike to be out there,” he claimed.

All in all, it’s a pretty brutal message from one former NFL player to the other.
