As the Indianapolis Colts continue to fight for a playoff spot and a potential AFC South divisional title, those hopes hit a bit of a snag this week with the team’s 29-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons this weekend. And it sounds like the team saw it as a pretty uncharacteristic performance.

During a recent interview, Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen made it clear that the way the team performed on Sunday was not consistent with the way he thinks his team typically performs.

“It wasn’t us,” Steichen said according to the Indianapolis Colts team website. “It wasn’t us, you know what I mean? You don’t want to see it. You got to stop the bleeding and again, that starts with myself going forward. So, we got to get that corrected.”

The Colts are still very much in playoff contention, whether it’s by clinching a wild card spot or by winning the division. But with the loss this weekend, the team simply cannot afford any more losses for the rest of the season.

Indianapolis hosts the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend followed by a massive AFC South showdown with the Houston Texans which very well could determine the division.
