NFL wide receiver Byron Pringle is reuniting with Eric Bienemy in Washington.

Pringle’s Katz Brothers Sports agents announced Tuesday that the receiver has agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders, but the specifics of the deal remain unknown.

Pringle will now have the chance to play for Bienemy once again. Now the Commanders’ offensive coordinator, he had that role with the Kansas City Chiefs during Pringle’s first three seasons in the NFL. Pringle was on the Super Bowl LIV-winning Chiefs teams. A year later he would finish with 13 receptions for 160 receiving yards and a kickoff return touchdown and then in 2021 he would garner 42 receptions for 568 yards and five touchdowns.

Last year, Pringle signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Despite earning a starting role, he was placed on the injured reserve list in September. However, he was able to return to the team in November, finishing the season with 10 receptions for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

Pringle is hoping to recapture the success he found in 2021 while playing in Bienemy’s system. Meanwhile, the OC is hoping to prove himself worthy of a head-coaching role in his next move by showing he can direct a successful offense away from Andy Reid.
