The status of Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons worried many after the pass-rushing Pro Bowler suffered a left leg injury during practice this week. But on Tuesday, head coach Mike McCarthy assured anxious and worried Cowboy fans and otherwise that Parsons was doing fine.

According to Jon Machota, McCarthy informed reporters that he was “fine to go” at practice on Tuesday.

“Micah Parsons left yesterday’s practice with a left leg injury. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Parsons is ‘fine to go’ today,” Machota posted.

The Cowboys have to be relieved to hear that news. Injuries have begun hitting teams hard in training camp. Superstars like Joe Burrow and Jalen Ramsey have suffered injuries, while others like Marlon Mack have seen their seasons go up in smoke before they could begin. Camp injuries are truly the worst, so a sense of relief has to be the purveying feeling in Dallas.

Micah has exploded on the scene in the NFL in a short time. The former Big Ten star won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2021. He’s also finished as the runner-up in the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award ballots in the last two seasons. Parsons has recorded 26.5 sacks in the previous two seasons, hitting 13.0 and 13.5 in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

The NFL world was relieved to hear the injury update on Micah Parsons.
