There’s obviously no love lost between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, but this was ridiculous.
Before Super Bowl LVII, the NFL honored Cowboys star Dak Prescott with the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. The community service award is billed as the league’s highest honor, given in recognition of a player’s commitment to philanthropy and community impact.
It should have been a beautiful moment — except the mention of Prescott’s name was met with a loud chorus of boos from Eagles fans at the Super Bowl.

Eagles fans have always had a reputation for being merciless. Way back in the day those fans once booed Santa Claus. But booing someone, even a bitter rival, while receiving a humanitarian award seemed to be another step down for the fan base.
The incident quickly trended on Twitter.
Come on man. Dak Prescott introduced as Walter Payton Man of the Year award winner and booed heavily. You don’t have to be a fan of his playing but give it up for his community service. He’s a good dude. Come on

I’ve never met a single Eagles fan who was not obnoxious.

Philadelphia fans are the greatest booers we have in America. They booed the Chiefs coming out of the tunnel, they booed Dak Prescott winning a citizenship award, they booed the ref before he made any calls, they are ready to go.
