Quarterbacks go through the same dilemmas, so it’s no surprise that Dak Prescott supports free-agent Lamar Jackson.

Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are at a standstill. The 2019 NFL MVP believes he’s entitled to a hefty new contract. He’d be right to think so, as Jackson is one of the most dynamic players in the league. Many issues ranging from alleged conspiracy, injury concerns, and the appalling Deshaun Watson contract have stymied talks between the two sides. It’s prompted significant discussion around the league that Jackson may not return to the team that initially drafted him.

Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, hit a contract dilemma himself at one time. NFL fans laughed at the notion that Prescott would get what he desired, but he eventually landed a 4-year, $160 million deal with $95 million guaranteed. Dak sustained a terrible injury that could have ruined his chances of getting a big deal.

Dak appeared on The Adam Schefter Podcast on an episode that emerged Wednesday. Prescott spoke on several topics, including Jalen Hurts’ new contract. That snowballed into the Cowboy quarterback talking about Jackson and his contract because Schefter asked if he pays attention to situations like Lamar’s as a quarterback in Dak’s position.

“I support everybody, and I support those guys getting their money and doing that. Hopefully, he’s next, and he tops Jalen, and that’s just the way it goes. It’ll happen for him,” Prescott said.

Lamar Jackson is seeking a substantial new deal with the Ravens and has fielded support from many, and you can now count Dak Prescott officially in.
