Training camps season features teammate-on-teammate violence every year; sometimes it’s physical and sometimes it’s verbal.

The latter is what happened at the Dallas Cowboys’ practice on Tuesday.

Quarterback Dak Prescott has had a rough start to training camp by throwing several bad interceptions in early practices.

Prescott’s defensive teammates aren’t taking it easy on him, either, as a testy exchange with star cornerback Trevon Diggs showed during the day’s afternoon practice.

Prescott scrambled in the red zone, and not liking what he saw downfield, took a sack on the play without the defense bringing him to the ground.

Diggs made his pleasure about the play known.

“Box! Box!” Diggs yelled at Prescott, pointing out that the defense trapped the quarterback with nowhere to run on the play

Prescott said something in return which drew the ire of Diggs, who didn’t mince words when giving his explative-laden response to the face of the franchise.

Prescott then appeared to throw the ball in Diggs’ direction after the confrontation. Neither player spoke on the incident after practice in the ensuing media session.

Prescott entered training camp vowing to cut down on the interceptions that plagued him last season. Franchise owner Jerry Jones even said that a repeat of last year would be unacceptable.

Prescott will certainly have to tighten things up if the Cowboys are going to reach their goals this season.
