No team faces greater expectations this season than the New York Jets. Not only did Jets add future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they brought aboard four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook.
The pair complement an already strong cast of players on both sides of the ball.
Bet MGM has set the Jets over/under wins wager at 9.5, but many fans likely wouldn’t be satisfied with a 10-win season. Many believe this is the team’s best shot at a Super Bowl appearance since Joe Namath famously guaranteed a win in Super Bowl III in 1969.
Cook told The New York Post he understands the high expectations from fans. And he thinks a Super Bowl victory is entirely within reach.
“I think it’s very realistic,” Cook said. “Obviously you look at the roster, you look at the people we’ve added and the things that we already had, just combining that in one, and I think it’s something to be excited about. We just gotta go out there and do our part.”
Cook, 28, who battled a shoulder injury last season, is stoked to be playing with Rodgers.
“Everybody looks at the game differently, just the way he views the game,” Cook said (via the Post). “It’s just different in his eyes. He’s smart, obviously, he won’t be playing this long and being so successful if he’s learning.
“And I think that’s why the confidence is there for us to go win it.”
