New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll gestures to quarterback Daniel Jones (8) after Jones throws an interception in the second half. Syndication: The Record

The New York Giants had a pretty rough Monday Night Football showing this week and quarterback Daniel Jones bore the brunt of it.

Jones went 27-of-34 for 204 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions, one of which was returned for a backbreaking 97-yard touchdown, in a 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Following the pick-six, Jones was seen sulking on the sidelines when head coach Brian Daboll approached him to discuss something. In a moment of frustration, Daboll was seen tossing the tablet flippantly at the bench next to Jones and walking away. Jones appeared to be very despondent at the moment.

Jones was on FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams Friday and was asked about the incident, which he called “overblown.”

“I didn’t even know it happened,” said Jones. “You know, I’m not on social media… People are looking for things to do, you know, looking for things to talk about, and we’re all good.”

Jones might not think much of the moment but the Giants have a lot of work to do if they want to get back on track this season. At 1-3, they’re staring down an upcoming schedule that includes the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, while the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are lurking. Jones could be in a make-or-break mode for the rest of the year to prove the team should continue investing in him as their starting quarterback.
