It’s been several weeks since the Arizona Cardinals released veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, making him one of the most high-profile free agents on the market, but he still has not found a team. However, one team has recently emerged as the clear-cut favorite to sign him – at least according to the betting markets.
As Michael Davis Smith of Pro Football Talk points out, the Vegas gambling odds for the wide receiver’s next team have recently shifted drastically toward the Tennessee Titans, possibly suggesting that his signing with the team is imminent.
“The Titans’ odds of signing Hopkins are now -300. Just yesterday, they were +500,” Smith wrote for Pro Football Talk on Thursday.
“Sometimes a dramatic shift in the odds like that means someone with inside information is placing bets. Other times, it’s just bets placed by people who think they’re in the know.”
There is a chance that DeAndre Hopkins could still sign elsewhere – after all, his decision has not yet been made official and there was a recent report suggesting that he was in no hurry to make his free agent decision.
However, this massive odds shift does seem to indicate that the Titans are clear front runners.
