Earlier this weekend, news broke that veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had finally found a new team, agreeing to join the Tennessee Titans as a free agent after he was unceremoniously cut from the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the offseason. And following the news, Hopkins finally took to Twitter to break his silence on the matter and announce his intentions.

In a post on Twitter on Sunday evening, DeAndre Hopkins made his formal announcement that he would be heading to Tennessee to join the Titans, and he also took the opportunity to send a message to his “haters and doubters.”

“I always loved having haters and doubters but I appreciate it even more now. Titan up!!” Hopkins said in a tweet on Sunday night.

It’s a pretty bold message from the star wide receiver, making it clear that he thinks he has something to prove as he joins the Tennessee Titans. And it generated plenty of reactions from the NFL world on social media.

Hopkins has not had a 1,000-yard receiving season or played more than 10 games since 2020. We’ll have to see whether or not he is able to prove some of those doubters wrong this upcoming NFL season.
