There was some speculation this week that the Tennessee Titans could be interested in potentially trading away star running back Derrick Henry with the team in the middle of a rebuild. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case, and Henry sounds quite happy about that.

During his postgame press conference on Sunday, Derrick Henry made it clear that he doesn’t necessarily want to be traded and that he is quite content playing for the Tennessee Titans.

“I’m a Titan, and I’m happy to be a Titan,” Henry said according to Jim Wyatt of the team’s website. “I am going to do everything I can to help this organization continue to win.”

If Henry does stick with the team throughout this season, then both he and the Titans will have some big decisions to make during the offseason as Henry is in the final year of his contract with the team and is set to become a free agent in the offseason.

It will certainly be interesting to see what the future holds for Henry and whether or not he signs a longterm deal with the team. In the meantime, it sounds like he will continue to lead the team’s offense on the ground.
