The first time DJ Moore suited up in a Chicago Bears uniform and touched the football, he made a house call. For those who don’t want to count preseason stats, we can argue about the semantics of this being Moore’s first touchdown reception as a Bears player later, but he sure looked good doing it.

With just under seven minutes left of the Bears’ preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans, Moore caught a pass from Justin Fields a couple of yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Moore, who received some nice blocks from his left tackle and left guard, respectively, went untouched into the end zone for a 62-yard touchdown.

You can watch the video below of Moore’s first house call with his new team:

Not bad for his first act.

Moore was part of a blockbuster trade in which the Carolina Panthers parted with several assets in order to acquire the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Panthers acquired the pick in order to select Bryce Young, who will no doubt be the team’s starting quarterback entering Week 1. Though, the Panthers were forced to part with what would’ve been Young’s likely No. 1 receiver. Instead, he’s going to take over that role in Chicago. And if this was his first impression, the Bears may be in for more than they bargained for.

Those in the NFL world were quick to react to Moore’s first touch as a Bear going for a touchdown:

Surely the duo of Moore and Fields will be one to watch going forward.
