This week, Chicago Bears star wide receiver DJ Moore had a career performance in the team’s win over the Washington Commanders. And on Wednesday afternoon, he picked up a little bit of recognition for that strong showing.

On Wednesday afternoon, the NFL announced that DJ Moore had been named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week for his offensive outburst against the Commanders, marking the first time he’s ever been named Player of the Week in his entire NFL career.

The award comes after Moore tallied eight receptions for 230 yards with three touchdowns in the win, becoming just the fifth player since 2000 to have at least 230 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a game.

It’s a well-deserved honor for Moore after his strong showing over the weekend, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

Thanks in no small part to Moore, the Chicago Bears offense looked dominant for the first time in a long time on Sunday afternoon – a big change from how the team has performed the rest of the year. We’ll have to see if Moore and the rest of the team can build on this performance going forward.
