Social media Sunday was abuzz when pictures of former president Donald Trump, current San Francisco 49ers linebacker Nick Bosa, and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow surfaced.

The trio was seen in Miami at a UFC 299 event Saturday evening.

Bosa has been a long-time Trump supporter and expressed his appreciation for the former president on several occasions. He hasn’t said much publically since he called ex-49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick “a clown” in 2016 for kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice. He took down those tweets and has kept his political beliefs to himself.

Burrow, on the other hand, said in the past he doesn’t lean one way or another but has said he supports social injustice.

“I’m not into the whole politics thing,” he said. “I’m passionate about what I believe in. To me, that’s racial inequality. Socioeconomic inequality. To me, that’s not politics, it’s human rights. It’s giving the same opportunities to people regardless of their skin color or social status.”

Burrow was criticized heavily by those on the right for his stance on abortion rights but these new images of him with Bosa and Trump have some questioning where he stands on things.

Some think it’s cool to see the star quarterback and star linebacker greeting the former president and think there was nothing wrong with it.

It will be interesting to see if Burrow makes a statement about meeting Trump or shows up at a Joe Biden presidential event to make sure he’s not perceived one way or another.
