During Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars star quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered an ankle sprain that ruled him out for the remainder of the game. And it sounds like he will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns as a result.

During a press conference this week, Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said that Trevor Lawrence will “probably” be a game-time decision for the team this week while acknowledging that his quarterback is “feeling good” this week.

“I mean, he’s feeling good. We’ll see,” Pederson said in his Friday press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “He moved around a little bit yesterday, see how he does today. Kind of base it on medical staff, how Trevor feels, and if he can go or not.”

If Lawrence is unable to play for the team this week, then the Jaguars will turn to backup quarterback C.J. Beathard, who filled in for Lawrence on Monday night when he left the game with an injury. If he does get the start, this would mark Beathard’s first start since the 2020 season when he took over the starting quarterback job for the San Francisco 49ers.
