NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that Philadephia Eagles veteran linebacker Myles Jack is retiring from football.
This comes after signing with the team two weeks ago. This shouldn’t come as a shock. Myles said a few weeks ago that he wanted to explore being an electrician or a plumber before being lured back into football by Budda Baker.
“I like to work, I just couldn’t sit at home,” Jack said. “I’ve been blessed to make a lot of money. So I could just retire and sit at the house.

“But I’m too bored. My mind is too much. So I just want to be innovative. I don’t know, if a zombie apocalypse happens, I want to be able to build something or fix something,” he said.
Jack played in the NFL for seven years, spending most of that time with the Jacksonville Jaguars who picked him in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2016.
Last year, he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers before he decided to sign with the Eagles a few weeks ago. Myles may have decided to retire after he was regelated to the second team. Myles may have said to himself if he wasn’t starting this season that it was time to shut it down and pursue what makes him happy.
Now, the Eagles have to fill a hole left by Jack just a few weeks ago before the season starts.
