While the NFL waits to see what the Chicago Bears do with quarterback Justin Fields, a team has emerged as a betting favorite to land the former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback.

The Atlanta Falcons currently have -225 odds to land Fields, while the odds on the Bears keeping him sit at +240

The Pittsburgh Steelers (+340) and Las Vegas Raiders (+800) are also considered to be in the running.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris refused to comment on Fields specifically earlier this week but bashed Atlanta’s quarterback play from last season. “If we had better quarterback play, I may not be standing here at the podium,” the first-year head coach said.

Fields is from the Atlanta area and played football for the Georgia Bulldogs before transferring to Ohio State, so the connection would make a ton of sense. Also, with offensive skill players such as running back Bijan Robinson, wide receiver Drake London, and tight end Kyle Pitts in place, the Falcons may very well be a quarterback away from competing, especially in the NFC South, a division that hasn’t had a clear favorite or dominant team for years.

The Bears are reportedly looking to move Fields before NFL free agency opens on March 11, giving the team just under two weeks to get a deal done.
