Former Texas standout running back Bijan Robinson was one of the most dominant players in college football this past season. This was reason enough for the Atlanta Falcons to select him with the No. 8 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. He has some high expectations to produce right away, and it seems like he is already making waves within the Falcons organization this offseason in the eyes of Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder.

Ridder is set to start for the Falcons at quarterback this season after sitting for the majority of his rookie campaign last season.

While Ridder will be expected to produce as well, he detailed that a number of young and talented skill players on the team will make his transition to starting much easier.

Ridder praised both young tight end Kyle Pitts and second-year wide receiver Drake London, who look like up-and-coming stars at their respective positions.

When it came to Robinson, Ridder said that he can “do it all” and “play anywhere”.

“Just his explosiveness,” said Ridder when asked during an NFL Live appearance about what makes Robinson a great player. “You obviously see it on his film from Texas. But just seeing it in person. We haven’t gotten the pads on yet, but we will see what it’s like when we do get the pads on. Just his ability to play anywhere and do anything is huge.”

If Ridder is able to get it to his special skill players like Robinson, Pitts, and London this season, the Falcons could be a very sneaky team in the NFC that would surprise some people.
