Mr. Clean

Gronk’s latest promotional catch has gone way out of bounds.

Just in time to haunt you for your remaining years on this planet, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has teamed up with Mr. Clean to find the next spokesperson for the all-purpose cleaner brand. Gronk posted the following photo of himself as Mr. Clean on Twitter, complete with a shiny bald head and white eyebrows.

It’s the definition of nightmare fuel.

It’s like seeing a cartoon brought to life, but done so in such a horrifyingly awful way that it’s sure to leave a negative, scarring, lasting impression for years to come. The only compliment I can throw Gronk’s way is that he at least looks the part.

Gronk won’t be the new face of Mr. Clean anytime soon, as it’s just a promotional shot for the contest. But you know what? That’s completely OK with me.

Seeing Gronkowski photoshopped just once in the iconic brand outfit is enough. Let’s retire this image forever and wrap up the contest with relative haste. The sooner this monstrosity gets wiped from our memory, the better.
