The Senate campaign of Herschel Walker (R-GA) was rocked on Monday by The Daily Beast reporting Walker, running on a pro-life platform, had previously financed an abortion for a woman and sent her a get-well card. Walker has denied the allegations.

One of the most blistering reactions came from Walker‘s son, Christian.

“I know my mom and I would really appreciate if my father Herschel Walker stopped lying and making a mockery of us,” the younger Walker wrote. “You’re not a ‘family man’ when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence.

“I don’t care about someone who has a bad past and takes accountability. But how DARE YOU LIE and act as though you’re some ‘moral, Christian, upright man.’ You’ve lived a life of DESTROYING other peoples lives. How dare you.”

The NFL world was quick to react to the blistering thread from Walker’s flesh and blood:

So let’s assess #HerschelWalker: dysfunctional family, kid hates him, accused of violence, spousal abuse, abortion and dumb AF. No wonder Repubs love him…” Andy Ostroy wrote.

“Herschel Walker just called the allegations against him “a flat-out lie” minutes after his own son called him out,” Kat Abu tweeted.

“I have seen enough here,” Dennis Herring wrote about the elder Walker’s challenge to Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock.

“Sadly, Herchel Walker‘s hypocrisy and personal immorality does not make him an outlier for Republicans running for/in congress, but a salient illustration of what the caucus has become,” tweeted David Rothschild.

“Lots of understandable focus on the opinions in these tweets from Walker’s son, but this tweet seems like it contains some news in addition to the opinion?” asked Josh Barro.

The Georgia electorate will get the final say on the matter when it heads to the polls on November 8th. Walker currently trails in the polls.
