With the score tied at 24 with 3:20 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Jacksonville Jaguars lined up at the New Orleans Saints’ 44-yard line facing a third-and-8. Twelve seconds later, the Jaguars were in the end zone, with star wide receiver Christian Kirk turning a short pass into a 44-yard touchdown, giving Jacksonville a seven-point lead with 3:08 remaining in the game.
The play proved to be the difference in the contest, with the Jaguars escaping New Orleans with a 31-24 victory on Thursday night. With its fourth consecutive win, Jacksonville advanced to 5-2 on the season and currently sits in first place of the AFC South.
But for as impressive as Kirk’s catch-and-run was, what was perhaps equally as amazing was his celebration. After entering the end zone, the Texas A&M product proceeded to deliver the football to the pylon as if it were a package before taking an imaginary picture of it.
The celebration was an obvious nod to Amazon, which broadcasts Thursday Night Football through its prime streaming service.

After signing a polarizing four-year, $72 million contract with the Jaguars last offseason, Kirk has enjoyed a productive first two seasons in Jacksonville. In 2022, the two-time All-SEC selection caught 84 passes for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns. Through the first seven games of the 2023 campaign, he has amassed 39 catches for 474 yards and three scores.
