Last week, former Florida Gators quarterback Jalen Kitna – the son of former NFL star quarterback Jon Kitna – reached a plea deal that absolved him of five felony counts related to child pornography, instead accepting two misdemeanors that do not require him to register as a sex offender. And now, it looks like he’s even trying to continue his football career.

Less than a week after accepting the plea deal, Jalen Kitna has now entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3, presumably in an attempt to find a new team and continue his football career elsewhere.

“BREAKING: Former Florida QB Jalen Kitna has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal,” On3 reported on Monday.

It’s certainly a jarring move given the disgusting charges he faced, but it would be a necessary step if he ever wants to play football again. After all, Jalen Kitna was not only dismissed from the Florida Gators football team after the charges were announced but he was also given a ban from even stepping foot on the university’s campus until 2025.

It will certainly be interesting to see whether or not another team is willing to sign Kitna out of the transfer portal and let him continue his career.
