As the Denver Broncos look to revitalize their offense under new head coach Sean Payton after a brutal season last year, it looks like they could be forced to do it without one of their top offensive weapons as wide receiver Jerry Jeudy suffered a concerning injury during practice on Thursday afternoon.

According to a report from league insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Denver Broncos star receiver Jerry Jeudy had to be carted off the field during Thursday’s practice after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

“Broncos trainers are helping WR Jerry Jeudy off the field with an apparent hamstring injury,” Schefter said in a tweet on Thursday afternoon.

Obviously, this is a very concerning development as Jeudy is a key piece of the Broncos offense which Payton is trying to revitalize this offseason, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

Jeudy was the team’s leading receiver last season, finishing the year with 972 receiving yards as a bright spot in what was an otherwise ailing Denver Broncos passing attack. He’s quite clearly the star receiver on the roster and the team was expecting him to be focal point of the passing game this year, so this injury is undeniably concerning.
