The biggest New York Jets news since Aaron Rodgers’ signing is that cornerback Sauce Gardner had never heard of actress Jessica Alba.
Gardner made headlines a few weeks ago when he and Rodgers were spotted together at a New York Knicks game. Rodgers remarked they were about to be seated next to Jessica Alba, but Gardner had no idea who she was.
“He (Rodgers) was picking on me for being young,” Gardner said. “We were getting seated, and he was like, ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ He looked at me like I’m crazy.”
It’s understandable. There is a significant age gap between Rodgers and Gardner, Rodgers will be 40 in December and Gardner is 22.
But Gardner won’t be forgetting Alba anytime soon, especially if artist Mike Jordan has anything to say about it.
According to TMZ Sports, Jordan made a pair of cleats with Alba’s face on them and dropped them off at the Jets facility recently for Gardner.

“I wanted to do something fun,” Jordan said. “I hope Jessica likes them, too.”
Most of the Jets’ young players seem to be in awe of their new teammate and seem to look at him more like a father figure or a big brother than just another teammate.
The way Gardner looks up to Rodgers, he won’t ever forget this experience — or Jessica Alba.
