Last month, Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow gave the Bengals fanbase quite a scare when he suffered a non-contact leg injury during practice and had to be carted off the field. But as the 2023 season nears, it sounds like Burrow is making a great recovery.
As Joe Burrow continues his rehab for his calf injury, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had a pretty bold announcement when asked about his star quarterback’s condition, claiming that Burrow’s health appears “probably as good as he’s ever looked.”
“He looks great. Physically just walking around, he looks probably as good as he’s ever looked at this point,” Taylor said according to Pro Football Talk.
It’s an extremely bold announcement from the Bengals head coach, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media.

When Burrow initially suffered his calf injury, Taylor and the Bengals revealed that it would sideline Burrow for several weeks, with no clear timeline in place for his return. But based on these recent comments from Taylor, it sounds like there’s a very good chance that the star quarterback could be ready to play for the team’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 10.
