Josh Allen was brutally honest about his performance Sunday, which contributed to his Buffalo Bills losing 20-17 to the New York Jets. To make matters worse, Allen also acknowledged having “slight pain” in his elbow after apparently being injured late in the game.

The Buffalo quarterback completed only 18-of-34 passes for 205 yards, with two interceptions. The Jets stout defense stymied him all afternoon. New York sacked him five times. He racked up 86 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground, but it wasn’t enough.

“It’s tough to win in this league when you’re playing a good team and your quarterback plays like s–t,” Allen told reporters after the game.

“Made some bad decisions tonight that really hurt our team.”

Even more troubling for the Bills, the Pro Bowl quarterback appeared to be in pain after Jets pass rusher Bryce Huff hit his right arm on a strip sack late in the game, twisting it awkwardly.

Allen told reporters (via Josh Alper, Pro Football Talk) that he felt “slight pain” in his elbow and would “work through it” in the week ahead.

NFL fans checked in on Twitter to share their thoughts on Allen’s tough day.

“Josh Allen grabbing his elbow and flexing his hand is giving some scary flashbacks to Ben Roethlisberger’s injury in 2019,” tweeted Josh Rowntree.
