Josh Allen Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (17) throws against the New York Jets during the first half of the home opener at MetLife Stadium on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, in East Rutherford.

It’s no secret that the Buffalo Bills have struggled against the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs as the Bills have been bounced from the postseason by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs two of the past three seasons. But with this year’s game in Buffalo instead of Kansas City, it sounds like Bills quarterback Josh Allen is hoping it will be different.

During an interview this week, Josh Allen acknowledged the recent struggles in the playoffs against the Chiefs but made it clear how pleased he is that this week’s game will be played at home instead of at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

“They’ve gotten the best of us in the playoffs the last few years,” Allen said according to Pro Football Talk. “We finally got a home game, and we’ve got to go out there and put our best foot forward and play as best as we can play.”

But Allen understands that even with the game at home, it will be a challenge facing a team like the Chiefs that always seems to play its best in the biggest games.

“The familiarity we have, and they have with us, I know we’ve traded a couple of times in the regular season, but we’ve yet to beat them in the postseason,” Allen said. “This is a team that plays their best when they’re asked to, and we’ve got to find a way to, like I said, put our best foot forward and execute our game plan.”

The Bills will be entering the game as favorites. We’ll have to see how they perform.
