The Minnesota Vikings suffered a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, but it looks like that game is going to cost them a lot more than just in the win-loss column. The game also cost them superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson for at least four games.

As first reported by league insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Minnesota Vikings are placing Justin Jefferson on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, which will keep him out at least four games.

“The #Vikings plan to place WR Justin Jefferson on injured reserve because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday’s loss to Kansas City, per sources. The exact timeline is TBD based on how he responds to treatment. But Jefferson is out at least four games,” Pelissero said in a post on X, the social media website that is formerly known as Twitter.

Jefferson has been one of the best, if not the single best and most dominant receiver in the league over the past few seasons. He is without a doubt the focal point of the Minnesota Vikings’ passing game and they will certainly miss him over the next four games as he is sidelined with an injury.
