The Cleveland Browns suddenly found themselves in dire need of help at the running back position this week after superstar running back Nick Chubb suffered a brutal knee injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season. And the Browns are turning to a familiar face to help solve their concerns at the running back position.

According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cleveland Browns are bringing back longtime running back Kareem Hunt to help replace Chubb, signing the veteran running back to a one-year deal.

“An official reunion: Former Browns’ RB Kareem Hunt is re-signing a one-year deal with Cleveland worth up to $4 million, per source. Hunt now will try to help fill the void with Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury,” Schefter said in a tweet.

It’s pretty major news for the Cleveland Browns and the NFL world as a whole, and people had plenty to say about the move on social media as a result.

Losing Chubb is undeniably a massive blow for the Browns as he is the focal point of the team’s offense. But they’ll obviously hope that Hunt can provide a spark and some familiarity that could help replace him.
