Taylor Swift continues to make an impact on the sports world. In the same breath, she’s earning respect from those involved.

When 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony has something positive to say about you, you know you’re doing something right.

On the latest episode of 7PM in Brooklyn, a Wave Sports + Entertainment Original, Melo sat down with Giants lineman Kayvon Thibodeaux and the subject of the popstar was brought up and how she deserves all of the attention and accolades she’s getting.

“Taylor Swift gets more police escorts than the team,” Thibodeaux said. “Like she pulling up, the team is over to the side, Taylor Swift pulls right through.”

“As she should though! As she should,” Anthony responded.

Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is the tight end for the Chiefs. They’ll head to Baltimore to play the Ravens Sunday for the AFC title game which means there’s a possibility Swift will be in attendance.

“… Since we’re on Taylor Swift, let’s give a cheers to her.” Thibodeaux said. “She re-dropped all her music and is now the best-selling [artist], like, talk about boss moves, talk about ownership. You don’t like what’s being done? Own it. And she did.”

Anthony even said she’d love to see Swift if that’s the case.

“I’m gonna cheers to that but I just let you know, T-Swift, when you come out to that pigeon coop this weekend, holler at your boys. You understand? …We got the town, T-Swift, so holla at me when you come to town, we got [you].”

Thibodeaux cracked a joke as a response.

“I don’t know what y’all got but I’m telling you, Taylor Swift is good, she don’t need y’all,” he said.
