Arizona Cardinals star quarterback Kyler Murray has not played a single snap this season as he’s spent the first six weeks of the season on the team’s physically unable to perform list. But it looks like the former No. 1 overall pick is set to make his return to practice.

On Wednesday afternoon, Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon officially announced that Kyler Murray will return to practice along with star safety Buddha Baker.

“Kyler [Murray] will be out there today, Buddha [Baker will be out there today,” Gannon announced during his press conference on Wednesday afternoon. “Excited to see those guys get out there and practice. Look forward to a good day prepping for Seattle.”

It’s certainly a major announcement for Murray after he has missed the entire season up to this point, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result on Wednesday afternoon.

It’s worth noting that even though Murray is returning to practice this week, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he will be ready to play for the team when they take on the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. However, it is a big step toward Murray returning to the field.
